Join the AWARE Center in their Cineclub for a wonderful movie afternoon! The multi award-winning film from writer/director Philippe Lioret, WELCOME is a compassionate & inspiring drama about the hope of new beginnings & the power of true love, centered on 2 couples contending with issues of separation & dislocation. A huge critical & box office success in its native France, this profoundly moving masterwork was awarded the Ecumenical Jury Prize at the Berlin International Film Festival, named Best Film at the 2010 Lumiere Awards, & received an astonishing 10 Cesar nominations including Best Film and Director.

Diwaniya: "Similarities and differences between Westerners and Arabs"
Naturally we tend to look at the differences rather than similarities. Westerners coming to Kuwait / Middle East for the first time find many cultural differences and virtually all will go through culture shock to some degree. However, are there similarities between Arabs and Westerners? If so, what are they? Are we getting closer or more different? An opportunity to hear others opinions and voice your own.
It will be held in AWARE Center (Surra, Block 3, Surra Street, Villa 84)
